Meet PGA professional Jeff Sargent
I’m a 25-year PGA teaching professional and born tinkerer. I love helping golfers enhance their understanding of the swing and find the breakthrough that takes their game to the next level.
I’ve given thousands of lessons to golfers at every skill level. It’s always struck me how every player—from the weekend warrior struggling to break 100 to the scratch golfer—agonizes over their putting game.
Putting: a challenge for every golfer
It’s not hard to see why. There are so many variables to consider: alignment, the break, the distance of the putt, the speed of the green. It can be too much to focus on while standing over a putt, leading to a lack of confidence and a mishit that results in a three-putt or worse.
But what if we could reduce the number of variables? What if we could give a golfer just one thing to focus on while standing over his or her putt?
What if we could give players the confidence to step up to the ball and smoothly stroke it into the cup—no matter where the ball is on the green?
Dreaming up a game-changing solution
Those were the questions that drove me to my workshop, where I tried to find a way to simplify the complex process of preparing to make a putt. I wanted to devise a solution that was both effective and easy to use.
And finally, after years of experimentation and tinkering and refinement, the 1Putt adjustable golf ball marker and putting alignment tool was born.
After marking your ball with the 1Putt and determining the break of the putt, you adjust the alignment tool to line up with that break. You then place the ball on the green so its three lines align with the three lines on the 1Putt.
Now you’re confident you’re lined up precisely and accurately. Now you can focus on only one thing: the speed of the putt.
Now you can drain putts from anywhere on the green.
Immediate results for golfers at all levels
I’m excited to share my invention with golfers because it can help players at every level shave strokes off their score from the very first time they use it. And the more you use the 1Putt, the more deadly a putter you’ll become.
Your golf buddies will notice. And you’ll notice a significant drop in your scores and your handicap.
Play a round or two with the 1Putt. Then shoot me an email at jeff@1puttgolf.com and tell me about the difference you see in your game.
Practice tip from Jeff
Practice until you can consistently putt the ball on your intended line. You’ll know you’re putting on your line when you see the three lines on your golf ball as it rolls. If your stroke is even slightly inside out or outside in, you won’t see the three lines as the ball rolls.
